Indiana's Energy Companies Are Part of Our Communities

Indiana's Energy Companies live and work in our communities and are integral parts of the community dynamic. They create jobs, contribute to local charities and provide our communities with economic development initiatives to help our communities grow. Indiana's energy companies provide more than just the energy you need to power your lives.

Indiana's energy companies are proud to be a part of Hoosier communities.

Call For Action! IUSA Members Ask Governor Holcomb to Sign SB 309!

After passing both the House and Senate, SB 309 is now eligible to be signed into law by Governor Holcomb. SB 309 makes certain all electric customers pay for the grid they use. IUSA members are asking Governor Holcomb to sign SB 309 and create sound energy policy for Indiana going forward. You can send Governor Holcomb a message by clicking this link:

Everyone should contribute to the grid they use. Even self-generating customers with solar panels need the grid to send their excess energy back to their energy company or when the sun isn't shining. Because of current Indiana laws, self-generating customers don't pay their full share of grid costs and pass them onto you, resulting in higher energy costs for you.

Tell Governor Holcomb to sign SB 309 into law to establish certainty for all electric customers and ensure that customers who use the electric grid pay their share of costs to maintain it. Click the link below to ask Governor Holcomb to sign SB 309 into law.

Tell Your Representative to Support SB 309!

Senate Bill 309 will work to establish an equitable system for self-generation of energy for both customers who own self-generation units, like wind and solar, and for customers who don't. By putting in law a favorable rate of return for self-generating customers who sell their excess energy back to their energy company, while making sure customers who don't self-generate won't have higher costs to maintain the grid shifted to them, SB 309 establishes that equitable system.
