Continued Growth for Self-Generation

As the cost of private energy generation starts to come down, some states are cutting compensation to self-generating customers who sell their excess power back to their energy company.

Indiana is still a place where self-generation is being supported by energy companies and Senate Bill 309 will preserve the higher retail rate paid to self-generating customers for many years to come. Additionally, Senate Bill 309 puts into place a transition that won't financially burden customers that don't self-generate in the future.

Senate Bill 309 establishes certainty for all customers as more and more of them decide to generate their own energy.
